Collective Experience

Collective Experience is an all-encompassing celebration of beer, music and art held at Mr West on Saturday the 15th of May from 1pm. The bar upstairs will be hosting a full tap takeover curated by our good friends at Collective Arts featuring new IPAs, Australian exclusives and the launch of two local collaboration beers.

The first Collaboration will be between Mr West x Mr Banks x Collective Arts featuring the works of Artist (and west-side legend) Justine McAllister on the can. The beer, ‘Life in the Stars’ is based on a hybrid of Mr Banks McConaughaze and C.A.’s Life in the clouds combining the hops used. To celebrate the launch of this beer, Justine McAllister will be at Mr West painting a live mural in the shop where you can come down, have a beer and watch her paint the piece.

The second collaboration is between Mr West x Burnley Brewing x Collective Arts. This beer is inspired by Collective Arts 'Amplified Voices' series, in which they use art on their cans that challenges the status quo, featuring artists and artwork that convey a sense of hope for a safer and more inclusive future. For this, we have worked with local Artist Michelle Phan and have chosen her piece ‘Banana Girl’ to be featured on the can. To launch this collaboration a portion of the bar will be converted into an 'Amplified Voices' Gallery to exhibit various artists work. All proceeds of the Mr West x Burnley x Collective Arts keg on the night will be going to charity.

Kicking off the evening of the Collective Experience will be an incredible line up of Australian DJs all night spinning funk, soul, hip hop, afro-beats and disco.
