Akasha founder Dave Padden's brewing story began way back in the early 2000s when he started the Sydney Homebrew Club, and what better way to celebrate Good Beer Week than to go back to where it all began?

What does that mean, you ask? A homebrew competition of course.

The teams from both Akasha and Bar Josephine will be on hand to judge all submissions, and announce the winner on the night. We'll organise for the winner to fly up to our brewery in Five Dock (Sydney) to brew their very own recipe on our state-of-the-art brewhouse. The beer will then adorn a guest tap at Bar Josephine 'til it runs dry.

Of course, since it's Good Beer Week we couldn't do this event without bringing along some of our own delicious hoppy brews, so expect a great tap lineup of returning favourites and new limited releases from the Akasha stable to wet your whistle on the night.

ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED. All beers entered should be dropped off to Bar Josephine before or on Monday 17th of May. Be sure to clearly label your beer with your name, contact details and style/name of beer in case you can't make it down to the bar on the night.
